Who these terms are between
These terms apply between you and Martin Mednikarov (“I”, “me”), and they cover a single, one-to-one online consultation booked through this site.
The service
A single one-to-one consultation, delivered by video, of the length stated on the booking page. It is a working session: creative and production consultation, direct feedback on the material you bring, and practical guidance on the decision in front of you.
What the service is not
The consultation is not legal, financial, tax, accounting or employment advice. It is not representation, agenting, financing, distribution or production services. It does not create any partnership, employment or agency relationship.
No outcome is guaranteed — commercial, creative, financial or career. Any view offered in the session is an opinion based on experience, and decisions about your project remain yours.
No written report, document or deliverable is produced after the session. “Next steps” means the conclusions of the conversation.
Price and payment
The fee is the price shown on the booking page at the time you book, in the currency shown there, payable in full when you book. That price is the total you pay.
A consultation is confirmed when you have booked a time and the payment has succeeded. A booking for which payment has not succeeded is not a confirmed consultation and may be cancelled.
Rescheduling and cancellation
The following is carried in full from the consultation policy.
Rescheduling. You can reschedule your consultation free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time, using the link in your confirmation email. Life and productions are unpredictable — if you need to move the session, move it.
Cancelling more than 24 hours before. Cancel more than 24 hours before the session and you will receive a full refund.
Inside 24 hours. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start, and sessions that are not attended, are non-refundable. The time has been reserved for you and can’t usually be filled at short notice. If something genuinely serious has happened, get in touch — this will be handled reasonably.
If I have to cancel. If I need to cancel or move a session, you can either reschedule at a time that suits you or take a full refund, whichever you prefer.
Running late. The session runs for its full scheduled length from the scheduled start time. If you’re running late, we’ll use the time that’s left.
Technical problems. If a technical failure on my side prevents the session going ahead, it will be rescheduled or fully refunded, your choice.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method and are processed through Stripe.
Right of withdrawal
If you book as a consumer, you can withdraw from this contract within 14 days of paying, without giving a reason, and receive a full refund. To withdraw, send a message through the contact form within those 14 days. For those 14 days this right comes first: it applies even where any other term in these terms would not give a refund, and even if your session has already taken place.
Your responsibilities
You agree to attend at the time you booked, to answer the short questions in the booking form honestly enough that the session is useful, and to have a working internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.
Confidentiality
Material you share for the purpose of the consultation — scripts, treatments, premises, budgets, financing plans and anything discussed in the session — is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to third parties.
This does not apply to information that is already public, that you make public, or that must be disclosed by law.
If you need your own non-disclosure agreement signed, ask before you book. I will look at it, but I can’t promise to sign every NDA.
Intellectual property
You retain all rights in your own material. Nothing in a consultation transfers, licenses or creates any claim to rights in your work, and no claim is made to your project or to any idea you bring to the session.
Where an idea arises in the course of the conversation, you are free to use it in your project without restriction and without any claim to credit, payment or ownership.
Recording
Sessions are not recorded by either party unless both parties agree in advance, in writing.
Conduct
A session may be ended early, without refund, in the case of abusive, threatening or discriminatory conduct.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, liability arising out of or in connection with a consultation is limited to the amount you paid for that consultation. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where I am established. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The version that applies to your booking is the one published at the time you book. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.
